Make Bags Unique
According to Airline Analysts :
Over 40% of travelers use black luggage. And guess what? Black bags are also the most likely to be lost or mistaken for someone else's and go home with others. Why? Because they are harder for baggage handlers to identify and for you to spot on a crowded carousel.
How to remedy this from happening to you in the future? Make your bag unique: Choose a brightly colored or uniquely patterned suitcase. If you already have a black one and it’s not in the budget to purchase a new one, then add a distinctive luggage tag, ribbon, or sticker to make it stand out. Many use colored tape around their bags, like painters tape, etc. ( but remember to bring extra along in case the tape is removed before your return.) Some Saran Wrap their bags!! Some tie brightly colored yarn around the handles. Securely tape photos onto your bag. The creativity is endless.
Helpful ideas for quick retrieval: Always attach a luggage tag with your name, phone number, and email address to your bag. Place a GPS tracker inside your luggage so you can locate it if it goes missing. Snap a photo of your bag before you check it in, including any unique features, to help identify it if it's misplaced. Get to the baggage claim area as early as possible to claim your bag before someone else mistakenly takes it.
